Remodeling Shows and Expos
Remodeling Shows and Expos
It's that time of year again, where across the country you can attend Remodeling Shows and Expos! Marketing experts know that you have the winter doldrums, tax refunds are around the corner and you are thinking of spring remodeling projects. Is it worth your time to attend a Remodeling Show/Expo? Sure it is, if you steer clear of the guys selling you lint brushes and wonder towels. Everyone at the show has something to offer the consumer, but to make the most out of your time at the show, know what you are looking for in your project. Make a list and grab the handy Remodeling Show Guidebook on your way in the door, find the index and hit the booths that match your wish list. Maybe you need a new roof, or new windows or new flooring. There promises to be no less than five exhibitors for each thing you need at most of these shows, so you get a well rounded look at the major companies in your area. Make a list of questions to ask at the booths. If you talk to five different people, they will each tell you something different, but if you hone in on the one thing that they all told you that was the same; well, then you found the truth of the matter.
As a vendor at these shows, we spend a large amount of money to partcipate and I'd be lieing if I said they were real fun to do. However, not only are we hoping to show off our speciality to consumers that may not know we exist, we also like to check out our local competition. The hours are long and there are times of total boredom, but it's money and time well spent. I personally love talking to the consumers about their projects, offering advice and steering them towards reputable companies that may offer them assistance.
So, if you are in the Kansas City the weekend of February 10, 11 and 12, come by Kemper Arena in the Historic West Bottoms and check us out. You can find us in the directory under cabinet companies!
